Don Bacon Can’t Hide His Radical Record After Launching Re-election Campaign
Omaha, Neb. – Days into his re-election campaign, Don Bacon is reminding Nebraskans just how out of touch his extreme record is.
First, he kicked off his campaign by doubling down on his previous support for a national abortion ban.
Then, he took credit for a manufacturing plant coming to his district…thanks to the CHIPS and Science Act that Bacon voted against.
Now, Bacon’s opposition to lowering prescription drug costs is in the spotlight after the Biden Administration announced the first set of drugs to be subject to Medicare price negotiation under Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act – which Bacon and every single House Republican voted against.
“This is just the most recent example of how extreme and out of touch Don Bacon has become,” said State Senator Tony Vargas. “He consistently sides with MAGA Republicans and big corporations over everyday Nebraskans, whether it’s opposing lower prescription drug costs, voting against good-paying jobs, or attacking women’s healthcare. In Congress, just as I have in the Legislature, I’ll always put Nebraskans first.”
